Granite is a natural stone. There is no manufacturing process with granite. The slabs are simply cut out of a mountain, polished and shipped to the countertop fabricator, ready to be cut to size. The origin of granite colours range from many different countries in the world.
From darks to lights and everything in between, colours and patterns vary greatly in granite. Since these pieces of stone are natural, every piece is unique. Veining and spotting add to the natural beauty of the stone.
The granite is 1 ¼" (3cm) thick throughout. Very little maintenance is ever needed with granite.
